Welcome to the south! Where our winters are either for short sleeves or look like this...
But every once in a while, we get this...
This was actually our second snow, but the first wasn't much. Having only an hour delay, none of us got to play in it. This storm was a doozy for our coast, but only brought us about an inch. But we played in it like we got a foot! And cold! brrrrrr....it was cold! As in the 20s! (ok. I know. You northern family just understand that it was 65 the day before we got the snow!)

Yep. Christmas Story kid. |

Our sweet boys, heading out on the sled |
|
Heading down to the park |
|
Our neighbor J came along for some fun! Brant hitched a ride |
|
First slide down. It doesn't look like much, but it was slick! |
Henry and I headed back before the big boys. It was just too cold for his sweet little fingers. But he has mastered the word snow. "Nooooow" is how he says it, so sweet.

Scraper? nah. Broom works great on powdery snow |
|
Cold, but having so much fun he didn't want to come in! |
Snow days are great, and very rare going to a school without buses. So we packed our day with fun, used the extra time to work on some school projects, Mommy got a nap (!!!!!) and had lots of snuggles. All in all, a great day!
