Saturday morning dawned early, as we had a 9:15 soccer game, and team photos before. We got there a bit early to snap a few, but I really don't understand the pained face!  Perhaps the sun? or the fact that it was 45 degrees? Or the fact that we are all a little under the weather with coughs and runny noses?  No.  As a matter of fact, he really doesn't like photos!!

Getting ready to play

Now there's our happy boy

Nice big kick in

All hands in, and a few snacks too.
After the game we headed to Lowe's for Build-to-Grow.  This week it was a monster machine!  Of course, it's the fun in the making it!
Getting all set up

Now that is trust. Daddy is holding it steady while Little B is wielding the hammer.

I didn't realize I got this picture until just now.  Sigh.  Such little hands and such strong, protective ones.

It's coming together.  We commented on how much better Brant's hammering had gotten.
So, after Build to Grow, we ran home for a few minutes. Then headed downtown to the Fall Festival.
The trains were finally running!!

And a new Thomas!

There is always a great kid's section, this year with two large bouncy houses, pumpkin painting, sand art and paint hair spray.

After bouncing for a bit, we headed down through the vendors. There were so many this year, but this one was quite fun. One of our local bakeries had cupcakes, icing and decorations that the kids could use to decorate their own. Of course, the fun is in the eating!
A great fall day, in a small town, spent with family.  It's a wonderful life!
